Here's another headband made with my free pattern, to which I've added a rounded flower applique that makes it even more cute I think! The Flower is made this way:
Ch 6, join to make ring with sl st.
Round 1: ch3 (count as dc), 15 dc in ring,sl st to third ch of beg. ch3. (16 dc)
Round 2: ch3 (count as dc), dc in same space as joining, *2dc in next dc*. Repeat from * around, sl st to third ch of beg. ch3. (32 dc)
Round 3: *ch4, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc*. Repeat from * around ending with sl st to previous joining st.
Round 4: *7 dc in next ch4 space, sc in next sc*. Repeat from * around, ending with sl st to previous joining st.
Here's in another colour:
Hope you'll like it!

The headband is very pretty! I like it very much! Do you mind to let me know what brand and weight of yarn you are using?
Hi and thank you!
Well, the yarns I've used for these two headbands are some Italian brand, and I don't remember the name..:)
Any worsted weight yarn will be fine!

Hi, I am Italian as well (from Rome, but at the moment living in Ireland) and I like crochet as well (even if I am not as good as you are :)). I do not remember exactly how did I come across your blog (crochet me? etsy? ravelry?), but I wanted to tell you that you make wonderful things! compliments!!!
ps. I left the comment also in Italian as it was more heartfelt :D
Thanks!

Hi, it is me again! I was just wondering how did you attach the flower to the headband?
Hi!
I've sewed the flower on the three strands, separating them about 2.00cm one from another.
Easy, isn't it?
ciao!
Thank you so much! I have done the flower and the headband, just need to sew them. Your tip is very helpful and just in time!
I am going to give it to my aunty as she is going to New Zealand soon.

"ad" was supposed to be "as"!
I've correct it on the post!

Thank you for the flower pattern. My sister-in-law has lost her hair due to chemo and wants a cute, feminine hat so I crochetted a hat and am adding the flower. I'm going to sew a pin to the flower so she can take it off and put on other things. It should really brighten her day. Thanks!!
hi..i want to make this so i can wear it for Christmas (tomorrow lol)
but i am curios at how you attached it to the head band..
(i cant wait to upload a vid so i can show you how your flower comes out for me)
The headband is so cute! Thank you for sharing the pattern - I can't wait to make one and give my hibernating crochet skills some practice! :)
Very creative - your blog's title sure fits its content.
Such a fun project!!! May I ask how the headband comes together. It it tied?
Thanks so much for sharing this. I was so inspired that I came up with a version of my own. I wanted to give you credit on my blog but I couldn't find your name so I just included a link to your blog in my post with the picture of my headband. Hope that's all right!

Hi Marta! My name is Rosa and I'm from Mexico. I recently learned to crochet (I started one month ago!!) and I LOVE IT! Turns out, I've already tried some of your patterns and they have helped me a lot! Everyone who's seen me wear the headbands or berets have complimented them... :) So, thanks!
By the way... about the flower headband... how do you sew the flower so you can't see the chains under the flower? Is there a special tip to do it? or is it just the way the picture was taken?
Thank you so much for posting this and other darling creations! My friends and I from church have actually started a "Crochet Club" because of this pattern! I saw my friend at church wearing it and hAD to know how to make it! And now we get together weekly to learn a new pattern or craft. Thanks so much!!
This is so great! I can't wait to try it out...Thanks!

Hi! Thank You for this corgeus pattern, I've just finished it :)
Is this right in the third round that you skip next 2 dc, I think it's 4, as on the pic. I've skipped 2, and it made teh flower kinda fluffy, it is still very sweet!
Thanks! Zooombabe from Hungary.
Hi! I absolutely love this headband, it's adorable and I've made two since discovering your blog last night :-) However, I have a question for you: what size hook did you use for the bands in the phoots? I estimated and used an H hook to make mine, but mine appear to be larger than yours.
Thanks!
I love all your stuff! They are so beautiful and simple and especially hip with the teenagers. Thank you for sharing your patterns for beginner crocheters like me. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

I love this design - it's very cute. I've had it in my Ravelry favourites for ages.
You might want to take a look at this pattern, which showed up on Ravelry today: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/string-floral-headband
The two designs are uncomfortably similar, and yours is the oldest.
Hi,
I love this, just made me one and it turned out so pretty, hubby things its so big, but I don't care, its pretty and bold. I am not a expert crocheter and this was so simple to make, thank you soo much. Adding your blog to my favo list, Merry Christmas!!!

Hello, I was searching on Google for some information. And this blog is very relevant to my desires. I like very much definitely will visit again...
You know, I have to tell you, I really enjoy this blog and the insight from everyone who participates. I find it to be refreshing and very informative. I wish there were more blogs like it.
I love this headband and found your instructions very good for a new crocheter like myself. The only problem I'm having is with the flower. my yarn is a worsted weight and I have a hook 1 size smaller and a hook 1 size bigger than the suggested size. i have tried making the flower with each and both times I have the same problem. Your flower is so flat and dense, mine is very loopy and will not lay flat, it's very bubbly. I've tried adjusting my tension and no luck. Do you have an idea what I might be doing wrong??
Thank you so much for your pattern and your time!!
HI, thank you so much for posting your creations for free. not only are they beautiful, they are so trendy! My daughter wants one of everything on your page :) I have created 3 headbands in no time at all, and have even made a bow and flower from your blog. my only questions is the method you use to sew them on. Are you using crochet yarn, or sewing thread? thanks for your help :) Melissa
These tips are great. I always enjoy brainstorming about catchy subject lines. Sometimes it can be tough, but we have to do what we have to do - please our readers!
Beautiful. Question below:
How do I make the three bands, and with what hook size? Then how do I attach it to the flower?
Thank you from Elkton, Maryland USA
Thank you for sharing this pattern. I made the headband for a photoshoot and was very pleased. I would like to make it again, but I've got several patterns piling up on my to-do list. So it will have to be an in the future venture.
Here are some photos.

I love your ideas! thanks for sharing!
The headband looks really pretty specially the green one, I like the color and the pattern.
hi there, love the headband! Im a little confused on round 3. there are 32 dcs and you say to chain for and skip 2 dcs but i would end up with more than nine loops, could you help me? thanks!
Thank you so much! I made the headband yesterday. I actually made two. The first one, when I followed the instructions exactly I wound up with 11 petals. I see yours only had 8. I tried again skipping 3 DC's instead of 2 in round 3 and it turned out much better, with only 8 petals. Otherwise it's perfect and I love it!
Juat wondering if this is you? http://www.etsy.com/shop/happylittletreasures
If not, they may be selling items made from this pattern.
I really appreciate your efforts and dedication you are sharing in your blog site.......Hope to see your next post soon...keep it on
Thanks
Yes, I did the same thing following the pattern exactly and skipping 2 dc in the 3rd round. I ended up with 10 petals but noticed the one in the picture had 8. If you skip 3 dc then you end up with 8 petals. Also, did you use the same size hook as the headband?
The headband is fantastic keep it up.
Gifts to Pakistan
Hi CreativeYarn! I am having some trouble with the flower pattern. I keep getting 10 petals instead of 8 like in the picture. I'm following the pattern! What do you think I'm doing wrong? Also, does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks Jessica! I really should read the beforehand comments first! CreativeYarn, you should change your pattern instructions! But, its still a GREAT pattern! Keep on posting!
Thank you for the free pattern for this. It is absolutely beautiful, and I hope the one I make looks this nice! I found you through ravelry by looking for flower patterns, and am now a follower of your blog. I see many things I will be making from it =)
Thanks!!!
Jen
Thanks for the pattern!

Wow, what a lovely headbands you got here, I love the flower pattern. So nice of you for sharing the tutorial here, Thanks a lot.
I love doing this flower! The only problem is that once I'm finished, it doesn't lay flat. DO I need to change up my yarn or what do you think?
Love the blog btw! You are helping me go from a beginner to whatever is above that lol Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this! I am new to crochet and can't figure out how the flower attaches to the headband. Can you help explain?
I just love this headband so much!! I made one couple months ago but adjusted the length and used button closure. My friends are asking me to make some for them and I'm working on them now.
I also made a few for two of my friends daughters and they loved them!
Keep up the good work...
Hi, I really love the headband it's very pretty. I was wondering how do I attach it? Thanks for making such beautiful items. Hope to hear from you soon.
I was wondering what size needle do I use to make it?
Thank you for sharing this wonderful pattern! A few corrections though: Round 1, 2, & 3 don't need ch3 at the end since those are addressed at the beginning of the next round. And as some mentioned before, if you want your flower to lay flat and look like the one in your pic, Round 3 should skip the next 3 dc instead of 2 (so every 4th stitch should get the sc). Thanks again!
Also, I made one and am giving it away to my facebook fans at http://lolalandcreations.blogspot.com!Giveaway from 7/17/11-7/21/11. Winner will be announced 7/22/11.
I really like this headband. It's soo cute!! I'm having trouble getting the flower right though. I don't quite understand the instructions. Can someone please explain them to me, beginning at Round 1 where it says sl st to third ch of beg. Thank you, I'd really appreciate it. I want to make one of these so bad but I just can't figure it out.
Wow! Its looking so lovely and inspiring. I like this fashion.
I love this, I am a beginner to crocheting. I did this one twice and keep coming up with 10 pedals. I dont know where I went wrong. Can you use a magic circle in the middle instead of the chain 6?
made this yesterday, wearing it today. thanks for the instructions, I sent the link to my granddaughter to see if she wants one too. If she lived closer I would teach her how to make it herself. thanks again
Thanks so much for the free pattern. Got it done in less than an hour. Used felting wool and am very curious how it will come out of the washing machine later :-))
Just one little thing: in round 3 for the flower, does it not need to be: skip next 3 dc? otherwise you end up with more than 8 petals on your flower...
Thank you, is very pretty!!
Pretty - thank you!

I found your blog on pinterest and just made this headband - I love it! I'm definitely going to be using your patterns - they are really adorable. Thank you!
This is a great headband, thank you very much. For US crocheters:
SC= slip stitch.
Clarification (from personal experience)
Chain 140, then slip stitch 30, then chain 80 and again slip stitch 30, from the OTHER side of your band. So you are skipping 80 or so stitches in the middle and slip stitching the other side, which will be a tie in the end . Mine came out a little big in the middle for some reason, so I had to size it down (the side straps were fine though). After this point, I think the pattern is understandable as it is written in original.
The helicopter was inspired by drawings created by Leonardo Da Vinci in the 1400s. In the 1930s, Igor Sikorsky designed the first successful flying helicopter.

I love these!!! So cute! How do you size them and how do you connect them in the back? I am fairly new to crocheting and would love to try these out! Thank you!
Very Important information!I would like to say that this blog is very informative and i would love to visit it again.
How are the three strands joined at the bottom. Is it tying type.
Yep. That's it. I'm totally in love with your blog! So much awesome stuff! I'm gonna share a link to your blog on my crochet facebook page right now and tell all my friendz how totally awesome you are!!!!! (facebook.com/craftyghoulcrochet) I shared a picture/link to one of your necklaces the other day and they went nuts just like I did over the overwhelming cuteness! Thank you so much for sharing this stuff with us!
Hey, in round 3, is it supposed to say to repeat (ch 4, skip next 3 dc, sc in the next dc) around? It says to skip next 2 dc, and that gives me like...11 petal spots to be working in, in round 4, haha! I confused myself so hard just now, and I'm assuming I should have just recognized that automatically and corrected it in my head. It doesn't seem like anyone else had a hard time realizing it, if that's what it should say. Or do I totally have it wrong now? Seems to be working out. *sigh* Maybe I'll just nap...lolz!
I found so many interesting in your blog especially its discussion. keep up the good work.
I like it very much can i join with you to learn more thank you
How do you attach the flower to the headband
Nice information, There is obviously a lot. Your points are very valuable and knowledgeable. Thanks for sharing this great blog with us.
